About the Program
Our Rising Runners Spring Clinic is designed for young athletes ages 10–13 who want to build endurance, gain confidence, and prepare for spring running events—including the Compass Run, school track meets with a focus on middle-distance races like the 800m and 1500m.
Whether your child is brand new to running or already enjoys the sport, this program provides a fun, inclusive, and motivating environment to grow.
What to Expect
Endurance & Track-Focused Training
- Weekly coached workouts designed to improve aerobic fitness and stamina
- Smart pacing strategies for 800m and 1500m
- Age-appropriate interval, tempo, and speed sessions
Skills & Technique Development
- Warm-ups, mobility, and drills to improve form and efficiency
- Breathing, posture, and stride rhythm
- Learning how to pace, accelerate, and finish strong
Fun, Supportive Environment
- Team-building games and weekly challenges
- A positive, low-pressure setting that encourages progress
- Coaches who make running engaging and enjoyable
Progress & Confidence Building
- Goal setting and development throughout the 10 weeks
- Focus on effort, teamwork, and personal bests

Athlete Eligibility
Open to boys and girls ages 10–13 of all experience levels.
Additional Requirements
All participants must be registered as Community Road & Trail Membership with Athletics Ontario.
